About Rich Steger

Rich Steger is a member of the Town of Newburgh Democratic Committee and has been active on many campaigns at the local, state and national levels. Rich recently worked on the campaigns of Assemblyman Jonathan Jacobson, Senator James Skoufis and Senator Jen Metzger.

Rich Steger has taught in the Valley Central School District for 26 years.

For the last 26 years, Rich Steger has been an active member and officer of the Valley Central Teachers’ Association. He is currently serving in his third year as President of the Association with over 650 members.

He is active with the Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation.

Rich holds a Master’s Degree from Mount Saint Mary College and a Certificate of Advanced Study from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Cortland and his Associate’s from SUNY Delhi.

Rich graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1989.

Rich Steger is a lifelong resident of Orange County. He is proud to be raising his two amazing daughters in the Town of Newburgh.
